The project explores the relationship between place, identity, and perception. Drawing on my personal experience of the place where I grew up, the installation seeks to challenge the one-dimensional image associated with the term “settler.

The project was created entirely by hand. Each frame is an abstract representation of the place I come from. To reach the installation, the viewer must first cross a checkpointboth a physical barrier and a mental onepositioned in front of the wall.
