Toffe Chairs
Industrial Design
A furniture series exploring the relationship between structure and textile.
A polyethylene and Lycra sheet undergoes a heat-forming process that creates areas designed to encourage folding. When the sheet meets the structure, it changes from a flat surface into a three-dimensional seating surface.
The rhythm and placement of these areas determine the pattern and the resulting form, allowing for different seating possibilities.
