FIRST STEPS

Industrial Design
The project was born from the intersection of two worlds that have accompanied me in recent years: technology and people. Alongside my Industrial Design studies, I am also studying Computer Science, so it felt natural for me to engage with technology. At the same time, I work with young people, including at-risk youth, and volunteer with the elderly. It was through these two very different groups that I discovered how we all share similar challenges that have intensified in the digital age: stress, loneliness, and difficulty concentrating. From this understanding, I created a series of poetic technological objects that combine grounding materiality with sensitive technology. The objects require active engagement and aim to promote mental well-being through small, intentional actions. MORA — An acoustic object that reshapes the workspace. A ritual of stacking cast “sound stones,” with each stone adding a different layer of sound, creates a moment of grounding and presence intended to reduce stress. OTO — An object designed to help address loneliness. Opening the cap streams live sound from a nearby public space, accompanied by an abstract light display that reflects the presence of other users in real time, encouraging the user to venture into the public realm. AURA — A kinetic object that introduces organic, random movement into the peripheral field of vision, providing the brain with gentle, quiet stimulation that supports sustained concentration. The three objects can be controlled and personalized through a dedicated website. Together, they do not seek to replace human choice or solve our problems, but rather to offer technology that supports us in addressing them. They are a first step toward feeling better.
