public objects in their own way, according to the needs of the moment. The project grew out of a series of everyday photographs taken on the streets of Tel Aviv, documenting spontaneous ways people interact with public objects. The project proposes a new design language—one that recognizes the richness of public space and treats spontaneous yet recurring behaviors as a starting point for designing street furniture. The objects are designed to support multiple and overlapping uses. Rather than offering yet another version of a bench, for example, they challenge the idea that an object should serve one fixed purpose. Each object can become whatever is useful in a given moment, while the collection as a whole accommodates a broad range of actions that shift according to time, place, and circumstance.
