ARI – Artificial Relational Intelligence ARI is an AI-driven lamp that listens to intimate conversations between two people and intervenes in real-time as an active participant. The lamp embodies three personas—the softener, the analyst, and the provocateur—responding to shifting dynamics through a combination of voice and light. The project stems from the recognition that while chatbots shape our communication through a human-machine model, ARI seeks to give physical form to the mediation of intimacy in the technological age, and to explore what happens when a machine mediates communication between two human beings.
