”From Avoidance to Life”

The project proposes a rehabilitation center for people coping with social anxiety, located on Giv’at Yona in Ashdod - at the meeting point between the city and the open landscape. The center combines therapy, temporary housing, and a social employment center, supporting individuals through a gradual process of returning to active community life. The principle of gradual exposure is translated into a system of layers, partitions, and sightlines that regulates the transition between concealment and exposure, and between private and public spaces. This allows each individual to choose when and how to engage with their surroundings, at their own pace.
