SAFE HAVEN

The project is a shelter for women affected by domestic violence and their children, designed to create an environment that combines safety, privacy, and a sense of home. The project explores the role of space as part of a process of change, from an experience of survival and uncertainty toward stability, belonging, and a new beginning. The architectural concept is based on the idea of reweaving: a transition from binding and restriction toward the creation of a protective and embracing space. This idea is translated into the architecture through a gradual spatial progression, the relationship between private and communal areas, soft materiality, and forms that create a sense of protection.
