Wiggo

Industrial Design
Wiggo is a crawling training device designed for infants with motor impairments. The product provides adaptive support and encourages self-initiated movement through sensory stimulation. A vibration sensor embedded in the cushion helps activate the muscles and promote active head lifting, while an LED arch encourages engagement and movement. The product offers different levels of training, ranging from static head-lifting exercises to active crawling practice, allowing it to be adapted to each infant’s developmental stage, motor abilities, and changing needs. The project was tested over the course of a year in rehabilitative daycare centers. During the testing process, a two-year-old infant was able to crawl independently for the first time using a prototype of the product.
