Visual Communications
The project explores the loss of my grandmother’s identity as a result of Alzheimer’s disease. The installation consists of a printed and embroidered fabric piece that gradually unravels. The unraveling represents the gradual deterioration of memory and the erosion of identity, a transition from presence and abundance to absence and emptiness.
